Peter Palmer (see below) has advised us that those in COPP 3 when in Algiers and Malta from 6 January 1943 to 31 July 1943 were:

both of whom were based at Cap Matafou and returned to Hayling Island to become HQ staff when COPP 4 moved to Malta.
COPP 3 were moved from Algiers to Malta for the Sicily Beach reconnaissances. They lost so many personnel that COPP 4 (who operated from Algiers and Cap Matafou) were moved to Malta and the two parties amalgamated.
